For our location in Coega IDZ, Eastern Cape, South Africa, we have an opening for a Senior HR Officer. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, you are ensuring flawless data integrity, smooth payroll validation, and proactive compliance tracking by effectivley directing the administrative support of the junior HR team and collaborating efficiently with external consultants.
Tasks:
- Assist in the Annual HR budget Planning by providing required input
- Assist in the development, revision and implementation of HR Policies
- Ensure the recruitment cycle of lower levels is implemented as per the company recruitment policy and procedure
- Assist in the administrative functions related to Grievance/ appeal submissions
- Check the accuracy of Grievance / Appeal and warning forms
- Scheduling and of Grievance and Appeal Hearings
- Development of Training Needs Analysis
- Oversee the junior team’s recording of training on attendance registers
- Facilitate inhouse training initiatives relating to HR
- Audit the training and invoice filing systems maintained by junior staff to ensure year-end WSP/ATR readiness
- Validate and sign off on the monthly payroll data compiled by junior staff before submission for payroll
- Ensure 3rd part payments are completed accurately and on time – MIBCO
- Liaise with payroll consultant on all matters relating to payroll
- Attend to and resolve internal payroll queries / discrepancies
- Assist in Employee welfare and engagement initiatives
- Conduct internal communication and marketing
- Coordinate the implementation of Corporate / Social Investment initiatives
- Coordinate the implementation of Diversity and inclusion programs for the workplace
- Provide BBBEE and Transformation support
- Conduct any other ad hoc duties that are required by the HR Manager
Required qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification Degree in HR (or Labour Law)
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Applications
- Exposure to a Manufacturing/Automotive environment
- Good under understanding of Employment, Labour Laws, and Human Resources Policies & Procedures
- Good under understanding of Employment Equity & BBEEE
- Presentation skills
- Unquestionable business ethics and professionalism
