Whether innovating and implementing new technologies as a team, collaborating in the development of new devices, or strengthening important relationships with various global industries: our work is based on building trusting relationships that help everyone succeed. As a family-run company, we look beyond short-term goals and work to create a future-oriented vision for our employees, our customers, and the world in general.
We are looking for a Head of Department Technical Communication to strategically further develop our Technical Communication area and actively shape the transformation towards a modern, scalable content and information management.
What is this position about?
Would you like to actively shape the future of technical documentation in a globally operating company? Are you excited by the prospect of transforming classic technical editing into a scalable, digital content ecosystem? Do you enjoy working at the interface between technology, organisation, and digitalisation?
Then this role offers you the opportunity to strategically align a central area, further develop a heterogeneous team, and decisively drive the transformation towards integrated content management.
What tasks will you take on?
You will:
- lead, further develop, and position the Technical Communication department with around 15 employees as a central competence centre within the company.
- shape the transformation from classic technical documentation to modular, scalable content and information management.
- be responsible for the introduction and further development of modern content management systems as well as associated processes and roles.
- ensure consistent, high-quality, and regulatory-compliant product information across products, variants, languages, and channels.
- actively manage and further develop collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Service, Regulatory, and IT.
- use digitalisation, data, and AI purposefully to sustainably increase efficiency and scalability in content and information management.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- have a degree in engineering, natural sciences, communication, computer science, or business administration with a focus on digitalisation, or a comparable qualification.
- bring several years of experience in technical communication, content management, or product information as well as leadership experience.
- possess sound knowledge in structured documentation (e.g. XML-based standards such as DITA), content lifecycle, as well as content management systems and publishing processes.
- have experience in an industrial environment as well as in the further development of organisations, processes, and system landscapes.
- lead as an integrative, reflective personality, build trust, and manage change processes securely and effectively.
- think networked, act pragmatically, and convince through strong communication skills and confident handling of international stakeholders.
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family company with great commitment and a sustainable vision.
- You will take on a key role with high strategic impact in a global environment.
- We offer diverse opportunities to actively shape the digital transformation.
- We promote lifelong learning through training, knowledge transfer, and e-learning.
- We support flexible working models and a healthy work-life balance.
- You will work in an international network with exciting interfaces and development opportunities.
