Reception Staff Ambulatory Care
Join us in working towards a more humane world!
The Ambulatory Care for Torture and War Victims Red Cross offers specialised support for people who have survived severe violence and war experiences. We also provide a low-threshold medical contact point for people without residence permits. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a responsible and empathetic individual as Reception Staff 70 - 80% from 1 June 2026 or by arrangement.
What you can achieve
- You are the central hub and first point of contact for our ambulatory care staff
- You personally welcome patients and ensure a pleasant reception
- You coordinate external enquiries by phone and email
- You professionally manage patient data in curaMED
- You arrange appointments with patients, staff and interpreters
- You manage a petty cash fund and code incoming invoices
- You process rejected service invoices and ensure correct further processing
- You support staff with other administrative tasks
What you bring with you
- Completed training as a medical practice assistant or business administrator in healthcare or comparable professional experience
- Experience in a hub function with direct patient contact
- High sensitivity and interest in working with vulnerable people from refugee and migration contexts
- Independent, precise working style and friendly demeanour
- Strong customer orientation, even in hectic situations
- Confident handling of electronic patient data management and very good MS Office skills; ideally you act as a superuser
- Our working model is role-based. We therefore seek a personality who enjoys taking responsibility, is flexible in adapting to new roles and sees change as an opportunity for development.
- Very good German skills as well as good French and English skills (spoken), additional languages are a plus
