About the job
The Department of Ageing and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of Winterthur in the five retirement homes as well as with Spitex.We offer a reliable and sociable person the opportunity to gain initial experience in the field of care during a fixed-term assignment of 6 to 12 months from 1 September 2026 at the Neumarkt Retirement Home.
Your Tasks
- Active assistance in care according to competence description
- Active assistance in domestic tasks
- Accompanying and caring for residents in simple situations
- Assisting with leisure activities for residents
- Day and late shifts (including weekend shifts)
Your Profile
- Insight into activities in the healthcare sector and gaining practical experience
- Also suitable for graduates of the SRK Care Assistant course
- Helpful personality with joy and interest in working with elderly people
- Team player, reliable and responsible
- Understanding of the Swiss dialect as well as good oral and written German skills (mandatory level B2)
