Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Food & Beverage Systems

At our development centre in Wil SG, we realise technical products for startups, SMEs as well as global companies – from medical and laboratory technology to household appliances and industrial products. For demanding development projects in the field of Food & Beverage Systems, we are looking for a qualified individual.

Area of Responsibility

As an experienced software engineer with a passion for interdisciplinary product development, you will develop innovative devices and systems together with our teams from the idea to series production. Your focus is on the development of embedded software – at the same time, you are interested not only in the code but in the entire product and its function. You understand the interaction of software, electronics, sensors/actuators and the physical overall system and actively contribute this understanding to finding solutions.

You independently take on demanding technical work packages and accompany them from the development of requirements and software architecture through implementation and testing to integration and commissioning on the real product. You analyse and solve technical problems systematically and pragmatically – also beyond the boundaries of software. In close cooperation with our customers, project managers and other disciplines, you develop solutions that meet both technical and economic requirements equally.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the development of embedded software for mechatronic products
• Sound knowledge of C/C++ as well as experience with embedded systems and common development and testing methods
• Experience with modern development tools and automated software development processes (e.g. CI/CD, code analysis)
• Experience in integration, commissioning, testing and systematic troubleshooting on real products
• Experience with series products, ideally with household appliances or beverage systems for private and professional use
• Independent, structured and pragmatic working style as well as enthusiasm for implementing technical tasks from conception to functioning product
• Passion for interdisciplinary product development and direct collaboration with customers
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
