Pre-internship in nursing
Are you a student, sixth-former or pupil intending to start training in the healthcare field and are you aged 18 or over? Then this internship is for you!
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and training.
Mission
- You discover the hospital environment and familiarise yourself with nursing activities
- You have a first approach to the patient and health issues
- You participate in basic care under the supervision of qualified and assistant staff
- You observe, according to opportunities, the activities of interdisciplinary teams.
Profile
- You are a student, sixth-former or pupil intending to start training in the healthcare field at university, a university of applied sciences, a specialised school or with a federal VET diploma
- You are aged 18 or over
- You have a good command of the French language (B2 oral and written)
- You are available for a minimum of 2 full months, starting from the first day of the month.
- You are willing to work day and evening shifts as well as 2 to 3 weekends per month for a 41.5-hour week.
We offer
- A pre-internship lasting 2 months, renewable once or twice
- A preliminary interview to define the location and period of the pre-internship
- A 3-day theoretical and practical integration programme organised by our Training Centre
- A remuneration of CHF 840.05 per month (13th salary included - 2025 value), plus allowances (CHF 2.-/hour for Saturday work; CHF 4.-/hour for Sunday and public holiday work; CHF 7.-/hour for night work). The amount of the remuneration will be confirmed in the letter of engagement. Holidays are paid with the last salary
- The possibility to benefit from quality staff restaurants in each of the institution's buildings
- For interns living outside Lausanne, furnished accommodation can be rented from CHUV
- Work clothes are loaned and laundered free of charge. We also thank you for bringing comfortable and quiet shoes reserved exclusively for work.
