Head of Operations Engineering (m/f/d)

• You lead the Operations Engineering team both personally and professionally and specifically develop 7 employees and 2 trainees in the platform environment. In addition, you are the interface to our offshoring operations team.
• You plan, control, and accompany the operation as well as the continuous development of our managed services.
• You ensure professional release and lifecycle management across all relevant services and systems.
• You are responsible for service continuity and, together with your team, ensure high availability of our services including on-call duty.
• You promote cross-team collaboration and coordinate interfaces with adjacent areas to ensure smooth operations.
• You take responsibility in incident management at 3rd-level and ensure structured prioritisation and assignment of tasks within the team.
• You drive proactive change management and ensure that changes are implemented in a controlled, low-risk, and service-oriented manner.
• You act as a central leader in daily operations and ensure high technical quality, clear processes, and sustainable customer orientation.

• You have several years of experience as a team leader in the IT environment, ideally in a service provider or system house setting.
• You have a technical IT basic education, for example EFZ or FA, and preferably further training at FH or HF level with an IT focus.
• You possess broad technology know-how in virtualised client/server infrastructure, data centre, cloud, and software as well as a strong affinity for IT security.
• You are also familiar with application servers such as Exchange, SQL, or comparable platforms; experience with SaaS is an advantage.
• You enjoy working in an IT service provider environment and appreciate a dynamic, service-oriented workplace with high technical complexity.
• You like working with customers, present yourself confidently, and combine technical competence with pronounced service orientation.
• You communicate confidently in German and English and move confidently in a national and international working environment.
• You convince through organisational talent, sense of responsibility, decisiveness, and the ability to lead your team clearly, reliably, and motivatingly.
