The Zurich Children’s Hospital, with around 3,000 employees, is the largest university children’s hospital in Switzerland and one of the leading centres for paediatric and adolescent medicine in Europe. The greatest asset of the "Kispi" are the little ones: up to 100,000 patients are cared for annually. In addition to the entire spectrum of paediatric medicine and paediatric surgery, the hospital also offers a unique children’s rehabilitation centre in Affoltern am Albis. Not only are the most modern devices and the highest quality in treatment and therapy emphasised here, but also a good sense for interpersonal matters: in a family-like environment, the staff accompany children and adolescents step by step on their way back to as independent a life as possible.
Your Tasks
- Together with your job partner, you support infants and toddlers on site in the children’s rehabilitation, who require intensive inpatient rehabilitation due to the consequences of a congenital or acquired illness, or after an accident.
- You take charge of the playgroup once a week.
- Conducting developmental diagnostic assessments is part of your daily work.
- You maintain close communication with the legal guardians, advising and supporting them in their parenting situation.
- You work interdisciplinarily with the specialists of Children’s Rehabilitation Switzerland and with external specialist agencies.
Your Profile
- You have training in special needs early childhood education or an equivalent qualification (EDK recognition).
- You have experience working with impaired or developmentally at-risk children from birth to kindergarten entry.
- Your flexibility as well as your ability to think independently and in a networked manner distinguish you.
