Job Title Reception Manager Category Executive Reception Work Location Lugano Country Switzerland Start Date immediately Type of Employment Permanent position What we offer To strengthen our team at the Front Desk and to coordinate tasks with the Back Office, we are looking for a Reception Manager starting immediately. This is a newly created executive position. At Hotel Bellevue au Lac, the reception, as a general term for the front and back office, is the alpha & omega of hotel life, starting with the first contact of a guest until their arrival, care in the hotel, and departure. Back and front office are closely connected and have only one common goal: to advise and serve the demanding guest in our 4-star hotel in every respect courteously, empathetically & competently. Tasks- Organization of the front and back office
- Creation of work schedules
- Introduction & training of new employees Further training Implementation of business policies regarding prices, special offers, etc.
- Control of incoming and outgoing correspondence & contacts, especially email and telephone contacts
- Participation in regular management meetings led by the management
- Representation of reception concerns towards all departments and management
- Maintenance of contacts with Best Western locations, tour operators, etc.
- Integration and supervision of night auditors into the front desk organization. Regular evaluation of employee performance for management
- Contacts with software consultants
We are looking for a personality with profound experience in front desk and back office both in Switzerland and abroad.
The tasks of a receptionist are listed in the job offer for receptionists; of course, knowledge of all these tasks is assumed. Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, empathy for employees and guests, loyalty to management.
The tasks at the reception and especially at the front desk are increasingly becoming a social and psychological challenge in dealing with ever more demanding guests. Good PC skills are an important prerequisite for correct and responsible work at the front desk. But the heart of the work at the front of the action is the way we deal with guests, understand wishes & concerns, and are able to respond to them.
