Lead Network Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Networks are not a side issue but the backbone of the entire operation. This is exactly where the position of Lead Network Engineer comes in. You lead the infrastructure across all business areas, plan the future target architecture, and implement it step by step. You can expect creative freedom, a 24/7 environment with high demands, and a team that relies on your expertise.
Responsibilities:
You plan a major redesign of the network landscape and lead the migration from conception to completion.
You develop security concepts with segmentation, Zero Trust, firewall policies, and VPN.
Furthermore, you operate and monitor switches, routers, firewalls as well as WLAN and continuously develop the environment.
You document the infrastructure thoroughly and keep operational and emergency concepts up to date.
Coordination with the specialist areas of cloud, virtualisation, as well as server and client is also part of your role.
Additionally, you actively share your knowledge, strengthen internal know-how, and occasionally take on on-call duties.
Qualifications:
You have a higher vocational training in the ICT field or a degree in computer science or network technology.
You have many years of experience in the network area, some of it in a senior or architectural role.
You master network security not only theoretically but also from real projects.
Furthermore, you work confidently with network automation and are familiar with highly available environments with round-the-clock operation.
Related topics such as VMware as well as server and client systems are part of your repertoire, and vendor certifications complete your profile.
You also express yourself precisely in German and use English effortlessly in everyday work.
