Role:

You take on the technical security responsibility for a heterogeneous IT landscape between data centre and cloud. As an Azure Security Engineer, you are the first point of contact when it comes to protection mechanisms, risks, and hardening. Many processes are still being developed. Here you shape standards from the ground up and set your own accents. Technical depth meets project work with visible impact.

Responsibilities:

• You lead security projects and system implementations as project manager or contribute as a specialist in the project team.

• You systematically identify, assess, and prioritise vulnerabilities and consistently pursue their resolution until completion.

• Additionally, you further develop solutions for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), XDR, and Privileged Access Management (PAM), coordinating with external partners.

• You harden servers and clients according to current best practices and technically implement requirements from standards and regulations.

• Furthermore, you support the team in security incidents and derive concrete improvements from each incident.

• You also contribute your expertise in the design and operation of virtualisation platforms and cloud services.

Qualifications:

• You bring in-depth knowledge of Windows Server and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

• You have completed a degree in computer science or a comparable technical education.

• In the security field, you have further training or practical experience, ideally combined with system engineering and project work.

• Moreover, you are confident in cloud environments and have practical knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Azure, Microsoft 365, and VMware vSphere.

• You take responsibility. You tackle topics proactively and remain reliable even in hectic situations.
