As a Junior Plant Engineer, you contribute to operating our technical systems and infrastructures safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Under the professional guidance of an experienced plant engineer, you continuously expand your know-how and develop into an independently acting specialist for engineering tasks and projects in plant and building operations.
What awaits you
- You support the technical maintenance, monitoring, and optimisation of HVAC, refrigeration, energy, electrical, and other building technology systems
- You analyse operational data, faults, and weaknesses and develop practical and economical optimisation solutions
- You participate in maintenance, renewal, and energy efficiency projects and accompany them from the idea to commissioning
- You create and review technical specifications, tenders, concepts, calculations, and decision-making bases
- You assist with acceptance, commissioning, and function tests and accompany the handover of new systems into operation
- You ensure up-to-date and complete technical documentation.
- You contribute to fault and incident management
- Your focus: steam and pressure systems
- You manage, monitor, and optimise steam generators, steam boilers, feedwater and condensate systems, as well as steam distribution networks
- You ensure the safe and economical operation of pressure reduction stations, heat exchangers, valves, as well as measuring, control, and regulating devices
- You analyse pressure, temperature, flow, water quality, and energy indicators and derive optimisation measures
- You identify and rectify steam losses, leaks, water hammer, and control deviations.
- You plan and accompany inspections, revisions, maintenance, and commissioning
What you bring
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, energy, building or process engineering, or a comparable technical education with appropriate further training.
- Ideally, initial professional experience in an industrial environment or building technology.
- Enthusiasm for energy supply systems, especially steam and pressure systems.
- Analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and independent working style.
- Enjoyment in collaborating with different stakeholders.
- Good MS Office skills; experience with CAD, CAFM, or control systems is an advantage.
- Very good German skills and ideally good English skills.
