CARBOGEN AMCIS offers talented young people vocational training and educates them to become qualified specialists. 

​As a Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technologist, you are the expert in our chemical production facilities. You will learn to operate and monitor the chemical production plants where high-quality pharmaceutical active ingredients for medicines are produced step by step. Maintenance and repair work on apparatus and chemical plants are also part of your responsibilities. 

The training begins in August 2027, lasts three years and is based on the model of trial training at various training locations:

• At the vocational school (Muttenz/Schweizerhalle aprentas)
• ​At the üK centre (Schweizerhalle aprentas)
• With the vocational and practical trainers in the company 

​  ​Your profile:

• You are interested in technical and scientific contexts, chemistry and ecology
• ​You have manual dexterity and enjoy working with your hands
• ​You are reliable, a team player and flexible
• ​You can express yourself well orally and in writing
• ​You are characterised by a high sense of responsibility
• ​You work precisely and carefully
• ​You have a sense of order and cleanliness
• ​You are patient and persistent  ​ 

​ Educational requirements:

• ​Secondary school E (all cantons), district school (AG), intermediate maturity (D) or higher school level with very good grades in mathematics, physics and natural sciences
• Good grades in German and English are an advantage 

​  ​Our training includes:

• ​In the 1st year of apprenticeship you are mainly at the vocational school and the üK centre (aprentas Muttenz) and during school holidays in the company
• In the 2nd year of apprenticeship you spend ¾ of the year at the vocational school and the üK centre and 5 months in the company
• In the 3rd year of apprenticeship you are almost exclusively in the company and are intensively prepared for the qualification procedure
