The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (e.g. when refuelling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and consultations for business, research and administration. Measurement accuracy creates trust, especially on a societal and political level, and is essential in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transmission, measurements in environmental and health sectors, etc. At METAS, various disciplines come together and complement each other – and this has been the case since 1862.
Your Tasks
- You operate and further develop our Microsoft cloud and hybrid IT infrastructures, ensuring their security, stability and availability.
- Designing and implementing modern workplace solutions with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and other Microsoft 365 services are part of your responsibilities.
- Together with Digital Transformation, you explore new possibilities for efficient collaboration in everyday office life and further develop our collaboration platform with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
- With automation and technical standards, you optimise existing solutions and ensure reliable and secure operations.
- You actively contribute your expertise to the ICT team, take on technical responsibility and promote knowledge transfer as well as skills development in the area of Workplace & Collaboration.
Your Profile
- You have completed IT training and have at least five years of relevant professional experience, including several years in engineering and operation of Microsoft cloud and workplace environments.
- You possess sound practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially in the administration and further development of Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
- You are well acquainted with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and hybrid IT environments; knowledge of Microsoft Azure is an advantage.
- You have independently designed and implemented demanding technical solutions and bring practical experience with PowerShell, automation and Microsoft 365 governance.
- You work independently, analytically and solution-oriented, enjoy sharing your knowledge within the team and are willing to participate in the internal weekend on-call service.
