Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a committed professional for project architecture with a focus on refurbishment, renovation, and building in existing structures. You will develop and manage demanding refurbishment projects and independently accompany them through all relevant project phases according to SIA. The focus is on architectural project development, constructive planning, coordination of project participants, and the technical implementation of existing building structures. The position offers a varied field of activity with high personal responsibility, direct collaboration with management, and long-term development prospects.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of complex refurbishment and renovation projects from the initial project idea to structural realisation

• Project development across all SIA phases with a focus on preliminary design, construction design, approval procedures, tendering, and execution planning

• Development of architectural concepts for existing buildings considering functional, aesthetic, and constructive requirements

• Analysis of existing building fabric and structures as a basis for technically and economically suitable refurbishment concepts

• Preparation of project and execution plans using CAD software including floor plans, sections, facades, and constructive details

• Development and optimisation of constructional detail solutions with special attention to existing components, connections, and building interfaces

• Creation and coordination of building application documents considering applicable building regulations and official requirements

• Coordination with specialist planners and other project participants to ensure coordinated and technically feasible planning

• Processing of project variants and feasibility studies to evaluate architectural, constructive, and economic solution approaches

• Support in tendering and awarding processes by providing technical planning documents and clarifying execution questions

• Supervision of construction execution from an architectural perspective with verification of the implementation of design and constructive project specifications

• Quality assurance and project documentation with monitoring of planning quality, maintenance of current plan statuses, and coordination with project management

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture degree ETH, FH or a comparable recognised qualification with solid knowledge in architectural project management

• Practical professional experience in the Swiss construction industry as well as knowledge of relevant SIA phases, construction processes, and planning requirements

• Strong constructional understanding with a confident sense for materials, building structures, execution details, and technically feasible solutions

• Interest and ideally experience in refurbishment, renovation, and building in existing structures with enthusiasm for complex architectural tasks

• Good CAD skills as well as experience in preparing and coordinating project, building application, and execution plans

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with initiative, teamwork skills, and willingness to take on project responsibility

• Good German language skills in spoken and written form for professional collaboration with clients, authorities, specialist planners, and contractors
