The Private Banking sales unit specialises in the comprehensive care and advice of wealthy private clients with an investment volume from one million upwards – both domestically and abroad – and is also responsible for collaboration with external asset managers. In a financial industry characterised by steadily increasing and ever more complex regulatory requirements, effective management of compliance and operational risks forms the basis for a sustainable and successful business model. The Business Risk team plays a key role in this: it is responsible for the active management of non-financial risks as part of the 1st Line of Defence for the General Director Private Banking.

Your tasks

Further development and establishment of strategic risk management for non-financial risks (operational, compliance and reputational risks) in the Private Banking business unit
Operational support of the BRM mandate including risk identification, risk assessment and control, design, execution of control activities as well as advice, monitoring and reporting and promotion of a risk culture
Leadership and development of a committed small team of three employees
Primary point of contact as a business risk specialist for sales and other business risk units (including Private Banking International)
Management of risk events including recommendation of mitigation measures and systematic learnings
Representation of the Private Banking business unit in bank projects, operational risk and compliance committees as well as in dialogue with internal stakeholders
Collaboration with compliance, operational risk, process owners, data analytics and other contact groups

Your profile

Completed studies at (technical) college / university level
Extensive sales, process and risk know-how in the area of non-financial risk, preferably in private banking or from an audit firm focusing on this area
Strong analytical skills and high conceptual competence combined with solution-oriented and pragmatic approaches
Experience in leading and motivating employees, ideally in a dynamic environment
Ability to use technologies and data effectively and efficiently to achieve goals
Team player with a strong desire to shape and assertiveness
Very good communication skills in German (good French skills an advantage) and confident in dealing with all management levels
