IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

In this role, you take responsibility for the security of systems and data and use your expertise to prevent cyberattacks. You analyse existing security architectures, identify vulnerabilities, and derive clear improvement measures. You also plan and implement appropriate security solutions to sustainably ensure a high level of protection. Through continuous monitoring and evaluation of security events, you detect risks early and respond in a targeted manner. You bring your experience to continuously develop processes, policies, and technical protective measures.
Responsibilities:
- You implement IT security projects based on our managed security services at the customer and document them
- In this role, you support consulting projects of our customers from architecture to implementation of security solutions
- As a cyber security engineer, you actively shape our services
- You recognise security-relevant events and vulnerabilities
- In this role, you use and optimise existing tools to increase service quality
- As a cyber security engineer, you support your colleagues in pre-sales and develop proof of concepts with the known technologies
Qualifications:
- You are confident in handling common security tools such as web application firewalls, vulnerability scanning, network and cloud firewalls, multi-factor authentication, network detection and response, XDR and EDR, as well as the most common operating systems
- Ideally, you have experience with SIEM, log management, security incident analysis, system monitoring, Bash, Python, ITIL, and project management
- You analyse complex issues precisely and have strong analytical skills
- You present yourself confidently and can professionally communicate in different situations
- You work in a structured, reliable, and discreet manner
- You communicate very well in German and English, both spoken and written; knowledge of French is an advantage
