Internship in the Archaeology & Monument Preservation Specialist Archive
How are archaeological excavation results and building history documentation preserved, accessed, and kept usable for the future over the decades? Take a behind-the-scenes look at the archival work in the specialist office for archaeology and monument preservation and actively contribute to the future of our cultural heritage for six to twelve months.
Your tasks
- Recording and maintenance of find site and building object data in our digital and analog specialist systems.
- Active participation in optimizing archive processes and projects for digital transformation.
- Processing archive inquiries from researchers, citizens, and media including archive research.
- Participation in meetings and working groups within the data area and its interfaces.
Your profile
- Ongoing studies in archaeology, history, architectural history, information science, or a related field.
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form.
- Careful, structured working style and enjoyment of data maintenance.
- Teamwork skills and interest in the interface between cultural history and digitalization.
