Principal Architect

OWT is a strategy and technology consulting company, a subsidiary of Swisscom. We help our clients leverage new technologies to reshape their business, invent new products, or transform their organization.

Your mission:

As a Principal Architect, you design and implement scalable, secure software solutions aligned with our clients' business needs.

• Lead end-to-end architecture on complex projects, from pre-sales phase to production deployment, ensuring deadlines are met and client satisfaction.
• Define strategic architectural choices (patterns, technologies, integrations) and produce associated technical documentation (ADR, guidelines).
• Actively contribute to development (code reviews, POCs, critical components) while ensuring overall technical coherence.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions, containerized architectures, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as the technical interface between project teams and stakeholders, translating business challenges into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Contribute to the development of internal skills (mentoring, technology watch, practice improvement).

Your qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience in software architecture on large-scale projects, with proven ability to navigate between strategic vision and concrete implementation.
• Deep mastery of modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, hexagonal, clean architecture) and design principles (SOLID, DDD).
• Excellent knowledge of current technology stacks such as Java, .NET, Angular, or React.
• Strong experience in developing scalable and resilient systems based on cloud and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of application security issues (OWASP, authentication/authorization, encryption).
• Practical experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and monitoring of distributed systems.
• Strong skills in technical leadership, stakeholder management, and communication with business and IT contacts.
• Fluent in French and English (minimum C1 level); German is a plus.
