Your tasks

• You actively accompany patients in the treatment process, conduct psychiatric and psychotherapeutic assessments and therapies under supervision, and support diagnostics and individual treatment planning.
• In interdisciplinary exchange with psychology, medicine, nursing and social work, you contribute to holistic and milieu-therapeutically oriented care of patients.
• With a resource-oriented and individual treatment approach, you take into account personal needs as well as offence-specific aspects and support the development of safe and practical everyday strategies.
• You lead group therapies and actively contribute your ideas and professional impulses to the further development of the therapeutic offer.
• Within the framework of forensic treatment and the associated security requirements, you participate in risk assessments and make an important contribution to the safety of patients and the treatment team.

Your profile

• You have a completed degree in psychology and have already gained professional experience in forensics.
• Your psychotherapy training is already advanced and you want to deepen your professional knowledge in the psychiatric psychotherapeutic environment.
• You already meet or can fulfil before starting the position the requirements for a professional practice permit as an assistant psychologist in the canton of St.Gallen.
• A respectful, non-judgemental and professional approach to patients as well as reliable collaboration with internal and external professionals characterise your working style.
• You handle the special structures and conditions of the measures enforcement confidently and maintain a professional and reflective attitude even in demanding situations.
• High commitment, initiative and very good German language skills in spoken and written form at least at level C1 complete your profile and enable you to communicate confidently in clinical everyday life.
