Senior System Engineer Microsoft / Citrix (80-100%)

You bring several years of experience in Microsoft on-premises environments and want to do more than just operate systems? In our Smart Workplace team, you are responsible for the operation and further development of our Microsoft on-premises platform as well as our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environment. You take on technical responsibility, think about architecture holistically, and rely on clean standards and reproducible automation. As a key technical figure in the IT Services area, you advance topics sustainably together with Network and Security.

What to expect

• You design, implement and further develop sophisticated Microsoft on-premises solutions, especially Windows Server and Active Directory and application integration.
• You operate our Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops platform including Gateway and ADC and are responsible for their lifecycle.
• You lead technical projects from migrations, modernisations and upgrades to commissioning and handover to regular operation.
• You analyse complex faults at 2nd and 3rd level, find the cause and resolve it sustainably.
• You drive automation and standardisation forward and document solutions, standards and operational processes.
• You share your knowledge within the team and take on on-call duty (approx. every 2 months).

What you bring

• Completed IT training (EFZ, HF, FH) or equivalent professional experience
• Several years of experience as a System Engineer in Microsoft on-premises environments
• Very good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Solid experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Gateway and ADC
• Strong service orientation, high independence and personal responsibility
• Very good German skills (native or business fluent)
• Impeccable reputation and willingness to undergo security clearance with criminal record check

Advantageous:

• Experience in the area of Identity and Privileged Access Management (IAM/PAM)
• Experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
• Automation with PowerShell and Configuration Management
