Social Worker at 40% (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• Advising blind and visually impaired people and their relatives.
• Initiating and following up on administrative procedures related to social benefits to which visually impaired persons are entitled.
• Coordinating rehabilitation procedures with various stakeholders (Low Vision specialists / Orientation and Mobility / Activities of Daily Living / Job coaching, doctors, schools, employers, insurance companies).
• Providing personalised support and assistance in social and professional rehabilitation processes.
• Informing the public and specialised sectors about the needs of blind and visually impaired people and representing them before authorities and specialised bodies.

Your profile

• University of Applied Sciences degree or equivalent as a social worker.
• Several years of professional experience as a social worker.
• Native German or French speaker with very good knowledge of the other language (bilingual activity).
• Good knowledge of social insurance (disability insurance / old-age and survivors’ insurance in particular).
• Experience in supporting and rehabilitating people with disabilities.
• Interest in multidisciplinary and networked work.
• Ability to resolve complex situations related to social and professional integration.
• Knowledge of the Fribourg medico-social network.
• You hold a driving licence.
