About the job
The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organisation effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and local hospital service, regardless of where the services are required.
Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relationships, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland (IDISI) brings together the Clinics of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, and Laboratory Medicine and, with its approximately 600 collaborators and nearly 4 million tests and analyses performed each year, offers a complete and high-quality diagnostic service, meeting the needs of patients residing throughout the cantonal territory. Overcoming traditional specialist barriers, IDISI adopts a multidisciplinary approach to promote more efficient and personalised diagnostic-therapeutic pathways, capable of specifically addressing the individual needs of each patient. Furthermore, the Institute is oriented towards university teaching and the promotion of biomedical research.
The Laboratory Medicine Clinic offers comprehensive analysis services on biological samples at multiple locations (Mendrisio, Lugano, Locarno, Bellinzona, Faido, Acquarossa), the results of which can support diagnosis and disease monitoring. Most of the over 3 million tests performed annually are on human, environmental, and veterinary biological samples.
The Pathology and Cytology Clinic provides anatomical pathology services for the entire EOC as well as for private clinics and medical practices throughout the canton. More than 80,000 cases concerning approximately 50,000 patients residing in the canton are handled each year.
To complete our teams at the Laboratory Medicine Clinic and the Pathology and Cytology Clinic, we are looking for
