How you can contribute

• Responsible for the strategy, profitability and sustainable development of the assigned real estate portfolio and align the use of the properties in the long term
• Participate in the real estate strategy of the civilian federal administration, set strategic guidelines for projects and develop sustainable and needs-based solution options
• Plan and control project credits for the respective portfolio, assess credit applications, ensure financing, and initiate strategic projects and the maintenance programme
• Advise departments and offices on strategic issues in German and French, assess their needs, conduct negotiations and prepare decision-making bases for the responsible committees
• Communicate decisions of the BBL and ensure their consistent implementation, as well as represent the interests of the BBL vis-à-vis internal and external partners at a strategic level

What makes you unique

• University degree or comparable higher education, preferably in real estate management, architecture, construction, business administration or a related field
• Several years of experience in strategic real estate, portfolio or project management as well as proven experience in managing complex projects and working with diverse stakeholders
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, high business acumen and the ability to quickly grasp complex relationships and develop sustainable solutions
• Confident and persuasive manner in negotiations, high advisory competence and the ability to reconcile different interests and represent decisions confidently even in challenging situations
• Very good knowledge of two official languages; knowledge of a third is an advantage
