Actively help shape the data platform of tomorrow with us. At Avesco, you will further develop our existing data warehouse, automate data processes, and together with our BI and specialist teams, create the foundation for reliable analytics and AI applications.
To strengthen our applications team, we are looking for a committed and technically skilled individual as
Senior Data Engineer
(80% - 100%)
Your tasks
- Further development of our central data warehouse based on MySQL
- Building and further developing automated ETL/ELT processes and integrating data from ERP, CRM, and other business applications
- Development of semantic data models for Power BI in close collaboration with our BI managers
- Expansion of CI/CD processes for data and application solutions
- Participation in the evaluation and introduction of Microsoft Fabric and modern lakehouse architectures
- Active knowledge exchange and support in the further development of the data, BI, and AI landscape within the Avesco Group
- Close cooperation with internal departments and external partners
Your profile
- Education or degree in computer science, data science, data engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data science, ideally in an international environment
- Very good SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data modelling
- Experience with Git and CI/CD is an advantage
- Programming experience is an advantage (Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Interest in AI engineering, RAG, and AI agents and willingness to learn new technologies
- Independent, structured working style as well as good German and English skills
