Salary - CHF90,000 - 95,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Architect Design & Competitions for the development of sophisticated architectural and urban planning concepts. The focus is on competitions, studies and early project phases in the areas of residential construction, school construction and urban development. You independently develop design ideas, examine their architectural and functional quality and advance them to convincing competition entries. The position offers a creatively demanding environment with a focus on architecture, concept development and design planning.
Responsibilities:
Development of sophisticated architectural designs and concepts for competitions and study commissions
Handling of residential, school and urban development projects with a focus on early planning phases
Analysis of competition programmes, spatial programmes, sites and urban planning framework conditions
Development of concept variants, feasibility studies and urban planning solutions
Further development of designs regarding architecture, functionality, construction and cost-effectiveness
Creation of floor plans, sections, elevations, diagrams and presentation plans
Development and elaboration of competition projects using CAD and 3D modelling
Consideration of relevant SIA standards, building regulations and planning law framework conditions
Creation of visualisation and presentation materials for competitions, studies and internal design discussions
Participation in design critiques, variant studies and project presentations as well as further development of projects based on professional feedback
Handover and further development of successful competition projects into subsequent SIA planning phases
Qualifications:
Successfully completed studies as Architect FH/ETH or university degree in architecture
Several years of professional experience in architectural design and competitions
Experience with projects in residential construction, school construction and/or urban development
Sound knowledge in design planning, concept development and urban studies
Very good knowledge of common CAD, 3D and graphic software
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss building regulations
Good to very good German language skills spoken and written
