About the job
The General Vocational School Zurich is the competence center for the professions of gastronomy and hospitality. In addition, it is responsible for the basic education of various other professions, including that of certified orthopedists EFZ.
With around 2,200 students and over 100 teachers, it is one of the larger vocational schools in the canton of Zurich.
At the beginning of the 2026/27 school year, we are looking to strengthen the Orthopedics department by hiring a lecturer for vocational studies with a workload of three weekly lessons.
The employment is according to the Secondary School and Vocational School Teacher Ordinance as a lecturer.
- Planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up of lessons in vocational studies (orthopedics) according to the curriculum and internal school syllabus
- Collaboration in the department to further develop the teaching
- Completed training as a certified orthopedist EFZ
- Completed or advanced training as a certified orthopedist or equivalent studies at a higher technical school or university of applied sciences
- Willingness to undertake training as a vocational studies teacher on a part-time basis in the medium term
- Open-minded, team-oriented, communicative, and committed personality with high social skills
- Independent, flexible working style with high initiative
