The SZB Pharmacy AG is a subsidiary of the Biel Hospital Centre (SZB), the public central hospital of the bilingual Biel-Seeland-Berne Jura region. Today, we operate a public pharmacy within the acute hospital. At the MEDIN site near Biel station, the SZB unites its clinics and subsidiaries with outpatient services. In close proximity to Biel station, the health centre "Maison de la Santé" will open in 2027, bringing together chronic outpatient care at MEDIN in one location. Our public pharmacy will have a second site in the foyer of the building, easily accessible for all patients.

Chief Pharmacist (80 - 100%)

Your tasks – our position

• Co-development of the service offering for the planned community pharmacy in the "Maison de la Santé" in close collaboration with the service providers of this centre
• Personal advice and care of patients including pharmaceutical services such as vaccinations, medication analyses, initial assessments and support for chronically ill people
• Rotational work in the community pharmacy at the acute hospital site
• Participation in the establishment and further development of an interdisciplinary health network in the Biel area
• Professional support of the construction planning and implementation; obtaining all necessary permits for operating a public pharmacy; building, leading and developing the team; assuming technical responsibility and site management from the start of operations

Your skills – our requirements

• Federal diploma as a pharmacist or equivalent diploma recognition by MEBEKO
• Federal advanced training certificate in community pharmacy (FPH) and cantonal professional practice licence or the requirements for it
• Enjoyment of direct patient contact and motivation to actively offer and further develop pharmaceutical services
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership role
• Fluent communication in German or French (spoken/written) with good knowledge (spoken/written) of the other language
• High social skills and ability to navigate confidently in an interprofessional environment
• Patient-oriented and entrepreneurial thinking, innovative and committed personality with independent working style and high sense of responsibility
• Good IT user skills, knowledge of ProPharma and KISIM advantageous
