Tasks
- Preparing the construction site
- Reading plans together with the construction management and making planning
- Setting up and securing the construction site with barriers and warning signs
- Marking
- Digging trenches for the sewer system, carrying out embankments, stabilising slopes
- Laying pipes and cables
- Construction work
- Preparing formwork for foundations, support pillars, walls and other components
- Installing steel rods and fixing them according to plans
- Preparing, pouring and processing concrete by hand or with machines
- Building walls with bricks and mortar, checking with a string line and spirit level whether the wall is straight
- Installing chimneys and fitting chimney doors
- Assembling prefabricated elements such as slabs, supports or window sills
- Applying insulation, plaster and joints
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and machines
- Knowing and complying with occupational safety measures
- Disposing of waste in an environmentally friendly manner, knowing and complying with environmental protection rules
- Dismantling and renovation
- Preparing demolition or renovation work
- Dismantling and removing old buildings and installations, restoring the original condition
- Carrying out renovation work on old or damaged buildings
Requirements
- Secondary level A or B
- Good knowledge of German
- Manual dexterity
- Practical understanding
- Spatial imagination
- Good health
- Physical agility and strength
- Freedom from dizziness or no fear of heights
- Weather resistance
- Ability to work in a team
