Ostermundigen, with over 19,000 inhabitants, is the fifth largest municipality in the canton of Bern. The Social Department is divided into the areas of social assistance, specialised services, adult and child protection, generations, and neighbourhood work.

To support the case management team in the area of social assistance, we are looking for from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement a

Time for a professional change?

• You advise and support families, children, young people, and adults in the area of voluntary and financial social assistance
• You guide clients towards social and professional integration
• You develop a cooperation basis with clients on an equal footing, taking into account their living environments and life stories

Can you answer the following questions with YES?

• Do you enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds?
• Do you approach people in difficult life situations with professional empathy?
• Do you have a degree in Social Work at tertiary level (FH, HF or university) or an equivalent qualification and ideally bring experience in statutory social assistance?
• Are you courageous in using the available scope in social assistance for the benefit of your clients with a view to sustainable resolution?
• Do you enjoy being part of an innovative organisation currently implementing the "Reduction of Case Load" project?
