Process Control Commissioning Engineer

About the job

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Process Control Commissioning Engineer. In this role, you will ensure that our process plants are commissioned smoothly at the customer’s site. From hook-up and commissioning through qualification to service and aftersales assignments, you will accompany the entire plant lifecycle and make a decisive contribution to project success.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Carrying out process control commissioning activities from ODT through hook-up (cold commissioning) to commissioning and qualification of process plants
• Performing service, aftersales and revamping assignments for customers at home and abroad
• Planning, execution and documentation of functional, acceptance and qualification tests according to applicable standards and project specifications
• Ensuring compliance with standards, GMP requirements and internal processes as well as early reporting of deviations
• Creating and maintaining project-relevant commissioning and service documentation as well as transparent reporting on progress, risks and challenges
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes, test procedures and plant behaviour by contributing practical experience and optimisation proposals

Your profile:

• Completed training as an automation technician/electrical engineer or an equivalent qualification
• Experience in commissioning, qualification or service of complex plants is an advantage
• Very good understanding of PLC and SCADA systems as well as ODT, FAT, SAT and qualification processes
• Confident handling of electrical schematics, technical documentation and relevant safety requirements
• Experience working on construction sites and directly with customers
• Solution-oriented personality with a strong practical focus and hands-on mentality
• Team player with a high awareness of quality and safety
• Willingness to travel extensively for national and international projects (project-dependent up to approx. 80%)
