What to expect
- Assuming strategic, financial (revenue, contribution margin, budget) and operational responsibility for the managed assortments and manufacturers in the Food & Hot Beverages sector
- Active development of the assortment based on sound business analyses and relevant performance indicators
- Monitoring market, consumption and industry trends as well as early identification and utilisation of new potentials
- Evaluation of new manufacturers and suppliers to ensure competitive and reliable sources
- Independent negotiation of contracts, purchasing conditions and bonus models as well as development of attractive, cross-channel pricing
- Close cooperation with purchasing to ensure optimal stock levels, target coverage and high product availability
- Planning and implementation of effective marketing and communication measures together with manufacturers, marketing and sales
- Central role as interface between internal departments and external partners for smooth collaboration
What you bring
- Completed commercial basic training (EFZ) or a comparable qualification
- Further training or studies in product management, purchasing, marketing or business administration
- At least 3 years of professional experience in product management, category management or purchasing, ideally in an e-commerce environment
- Experience in dealing with suppliers and manufacturers as well as strong negotiation skills
- Very good analytical understanding and enjoyment of working with numbers and key figures
- Enthusiasm for digitalisation, automation and data-driven assortment management
- Confident use of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Navision) as well as MS Office, especially Excel
- Independent, structured and efficient working style with high initiative
- Strong communication skills in German (business fluent) and English, French is an advantage
