The Child Psychiatric Department (KPA) of the Clinic for Children and Adolescents (UPKKJ) follows an interdisciplinary, milieu-therapeutic treatment concept, where the treatment team (therapy, nursing/social pedagogy, school) accompanies the children through the treatment. We work with voluntariness and motivation, i.e. all treatment measures require the participation of the children and the consent of the legal guardians. The milieu-therapeutic framework allows room to respond to the individual limits, abilities, and needs of the children and their families. Clarifying the assignment with a joint goal agreement is the core of the treatment. The treatment itself proceeds in three phases: diagnosis, therapy, discharge planning.

Senior Physician 50% Child Psychiatric Department (inpatient)

Your tasks

• Senior medical leadership and responsibility of the child psychiatric department (inpatient treatment of children aged 5 to 12 years)
• Supervision of assistant physicians and psychologists
• Participation in the senior physician on-call service for the entire child and adolescent psychiatric clinic
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with other areas of the UPKKJ as well as with referrers and external institutions
• Commitment to participation in scientific studies, interest in teaching and research

Your competencies

• Solid clinical experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork
• Possession of the FMH specialist title "Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy" or close to examination or an equivalent title with MEBEKO recognition (mandatory for foreign diplomas). The costs for recognition are covered by the UPK
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (at least language level C1)
