The Zurich University of Teacher Education actively shapes education, school and teaching of today and tomorrow in teaching and research. The office of the Vice-Rectorate for Education is the contact point for internal and external bodies and provides central services – for example in quality management, communication and legal support. It also coordinates the committees and affairs led by the Vice-Rector.
From 1 September 2026, the Education Office is looking for a responsible, forward-thinking and networked personality as an Office Management Specialist. This is a 50% position (half-time), usually based at the PH Zurich campus.
In this role, you will take on a central hub function for the Vice-Rectorate management in the Education Office and work closely with various contacts. You will make a significant contribution to the further development of systematic and sustainable knowledge management. For this versatile and demanding position, we are looking for an initiative personality with sound professional expertise and a quick grasp. You communicate clearly and appropriately for the audience, work precisely and in a structured manner, and are characterised by an efficient and reliable working style.
Your responsibilities.
- First point of contact for triaging all enquiries to the Vice-Rectorate for Education across all communication channels
- Administration as well as planning and coordination of appointments and meetings for the Vice-Rector and internal Vice-Rectorate committees
- Coordination, organisation and support of events in the Vice-Rectorate for Education and partly at PHZH level
- Planning, minute-taking and follow-up of meetings, business matters and projects
- Participation in the establishment, maintenance and further development of knowledge storage and diffusion within the office of the Vice-Rectorate for Education as well as support for other affairs in the Vice-Rectorate for Education
Your profile.
- Commercial training with 3-5 years of professional experience as well as relevant further education (e.g. CAS at a university of applied sciences or qualification from a higher technical school)
- Strong planning and organisational skills as well as networked, solution-oriented thinking and quick comprehension
- Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written
- Engaging personality with pronounced communication skills and the ability to act as a bridge-builder in a hub function, combined with high trustworthiness and a strong sense of role
- Affinity for digital media and new technologies and enthusiasm for continuous personal development.
