Senior Avaloq Engineer Java Backend / Kafka / -Parameterisation/ 100% / ZH
Project: For an exciting banking project in the area of investments & pensions, we are looking for an experienced Senior Avaloq Engineer with solid Java knowledge. The focus is on the parameterisation and extension of portfolio management functions as well as the implementation of master data extensions within the Avaloq core banking platform. Additionally, you will develop Java backend components and Kafka-based interfaces, modernise existing functions in the area of investment proposals, and support ongoing application operations in an agile DevOps team.

Tasks:

• Parameterisation and extension of functions of the Avaloq core banking platform in the area of investments & pensions
• Implementation of portfolio management functions and extensions in the master data area
• Design and development of interfaces for integration with other software systems, especially in the environment of Kafka and event streaming
• Further development and maintenance of Java-based backend components
• Participation in the modernisation and revision of existing functions, interfaces and service calls
• Support of ongoing application operations as well as analysis and resolution of technical faults
• Collaboration in an agile team according to Scrum and SAFe

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical Avaloq parameterisation and several years of Java backend experience
• Experience with agile methods (Scrum/SAFe) and willingness to take on DevOps operational tasks
• Analytical, structured working style as well as strong team and communication skills

Desirable

• Knowledge in Kafka/event streaming, interface integration as well as Avaloq portfolio management, master data and banking processes in the area of investments & pensions.
