We are a subsidiary of V-ZUG AG. We develop and produce refrigeration and freezing appliances as well as wine coolers at our site in Sulgen. Precision, quality and reliability are paramount. As Production Manager, you take overall responsibility for our production in Sulgen. You lead five team leaders and thus indirectly around 80 employees. You ensure a stable production operation, further develop processes and create an environment in which people can take responsibility and develop further.

What the position offers you

• You bear overall responsibility for the smooth production operation at the Sulgen site and ensure the achievement of targets in safety, quality, deadlines, costs, productivity and automation.
• You lead and develop our five team leaders. In doing so, you provide orientation, promote personal responsibility and create the conditions for strong collaboration and sustainable development.
• You ensure forward-looking capacity and resource planning and identify potential bottlenecks early.
• You manage and further develop shopfloor management. You detect deviations early and initiate effective measures together with those responsible.
• You take responsibility for the entire personnel cycle in your area. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee discussions, target agreements, performance assessments, development measures, disciplinary matters, separation processes and co-responsibility in the annual salary round.
• You work closely with SCM, Quality, OpEx, BEX, R&D, P&C, Finance and Controlling as well as site management. In doing so, you connect operational requirements with overarching goals and advance cross-departmental topics.

What you bring to the position

• You combine technical understanding with leadership skills and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
• You have a technical basic education from industry and several years of leadership experience in production.
• You have experience leading larger teams through changes, peak periods and demanding operational situations while maintaining an overview.
• You lead clearly, reliably and on an equal footing. You set goals, provide orientation and recognise what your employees need to take responsibility and develop further.
• You know production processes from practice and have solid experience with Lean methods and 5S. You consistently implement improvements and ensure they have a sustainable effect in everyday production.
• You communicate openly and appropriately to the situation. On the shopfloor as well as with interfaces, in leadership meetings or with site management.
• SAP and relevant production systems are part of your daily work. You can confidently navigate complex process landscapes and support your team in dealing with them.
• You communicate confidently in German, both spoken and written. English skills are an advantage, especially in exchange with international interfaces.
