From 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, the Department of Transport and Maintenance is looking for you as

Intern in Transport Planning (60 - 100 %)

The internship is limited to 6 to 12 months.

What you will achieve with us

• Diverse insights into the transport planning of a municipality that offers everything from the urban centre to rural areas
• Participation in exciting projects in the field of pedestrian and bicycle traffic (e.g. in the "Fuss Velo Köniz" promotion programme) and other areas of transport planning
• Contacts and exchanges with the population as part of our commitment in the areas of communication and awareness-raising (e.g. participation and involvement in openings and participatory events)
• Getting to know the processes of an administration and cooperation with our partners such as the region and canton

How you will inspire us

• Ongoing or recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in spatial planning, civil engineering (specialising in transport planning) or geography
• Interest in solutions for sustainable mobility
• Good communication and expression skills as well as good knowledge of German
• Independence, personal responsibility and commitment
• Openness and ability to work in a team
