About the job
The Tierdörfli Olten offers immediate help and protection for animals in distress. We care for found animals, surrendered animals, and injured animals, and place them in new, supervised homes. At the same time, we look after holiday animals and offer tours,workshops and courses for children and adults. To strengthen our team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement
for an intern in animal care (100%)
You are an open-minded, reliable and team-oriented animal lover who has recently finished school and wishes to pursue training as an animal carer later on. Besides a sense for practical work and robust health, you have good observational skills and
attention when dealing with animals. You are also not deterred by dirt and
cleaning tasks nor by weekend and public holiday duties.
As an intern, we will give you an insight behind the scenes of
the daily life in an animal shelter and familiarise you with the various areas of work.
You can learn a great deal about our animals and the work of an animal carer.
Your tasks will include, in particular, cleaning and disinfecting animal accommodations as well as feeding, caring for and looking after our various charges.
Suitable candidates will have the opportunity to undertake training as a federally certified animal carer after completing their internship.
