As a Medical Practice Assistant MPA, you work at an important interface between doctors, nursing, administration and interprofessional teams. You actively contribute your medical expertise, organisational skills and empathetic manner to the daily care of our geriatric patients.

In this versatile role, you make an important contribution to ensuring that our patients are accompanied professionally, attentively and humanely.

We are looking for a committed, proactive and competent individual at the Riehen location as:

Medical Practice Assistant (MPA)

60 - 80%

Your Tasks

Organisation of daily practice routine: working at reception, telephone service, appointment scheduling, administration, correspondence and electronic medical records, writing minutes as well as transcription from dictation

Laboratory work: performing blood draws (venous/capillary), vaccinations, infusions (especially Ferinject) as well as internal and external quality controls

Assisting with or performing e.g. wound dressing and ear irrigations

Applying and removing 24h ECGs and 24h blood pressure measurements

Ensuring medical billing and invoice control (TARMED, SwissDRG)

Close collaboration and communication with doctors, nursing and interprofessional teams

Your Profile

Completed training as MPA EFZ, ideally with laboratory experience

Sound knowledge of medical terminology and confident use of MS Office and practice software

Independent, structured working style with high quality awareness

Empathy and enjoyment in dealing with elderly people and their relatives

Resilient, communicative personality with team spirit and organisational strength

Completed vocational trainer course (optional) or willingness to complete it
