Die Ärztekasse Genossenschaft is one of the leading companies in practice administration. It supports doctors, attending physicians, group practices as well as healthcare providers (physiotherapists, osteopaths, psychologists, etc.) with IT industry solutions and comprehensive service packages. Die Ärztekasse Genossenschaft issues over 10 million invoices per year on behalf of its customers.
The back office handles all enquiries from patients, health insurers, customers, authorities and other bodies that arrive after invoicing.
To complement our back office team in Bern, we are looking for you as
Back Office Team Leader (m/f)
Workload: 100%
Start: immediately or by arrangement

Main tasks
In this role, you are responsible for the personnel, organisational and professional management of the back office team at the Bern agency, which consists of six employees. This includes, among other things, the following tasks:
- Organising the team to ensure smooth processes
- Ensuring flawless information and communication within the team, the agency and with other departments
- Active team and employee development as well as promoting a learning culture
- Contributing to regional process harmonisation
You support the team in operational tasks such as:
- Handling verbal and written customer concerns regarding accounts receivable management
- Assisting and advising customers on questions about the invoicing process
- Processing electronic invoice rejections from insurers and their follow-up
- Manual payment postings as well as handling incorrect payments and refunds
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or medical practice assistant with further training in leadership
- Several years of experience in a leadership role
- IT-savvy personality with very good MS Office skills
- Experience in the administration of medical practices or in health insurance is an advantage
- Winning and inspiring personality with strong communication skills
- Quick comprehension and networked thinking
- Structured working method as well as planning and organisational skills
- Solution- and service-oriented approach
- Resilience and strong assertiveness
- Integrity and reliability
- Very good German and very good French skills
