JOB PURPOSE
This position sits in our Zurich-based Experience & Engineering business unit. We deliver many services, from strategy and a performance-driven full-funnel approach to campaigning, e-commerce, data & analytics and content. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional and engaging digital experiences.
As a team lead you can do boths, follow your passion for designing outstanding digital exprience and to create an enviromont for talented designer they can strive and have fun.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Drive creativity and deliver excellence: As a lead designer for key accounts, you set the standard for design quality and ensure that every project is not only visually appealing but also strategically sound, delivered on time, and within budget.
- Empowering People: You will manage and mentor a talented team of visual designers (from Junior to Senior), conducting regular 1-on-1s and fostering an environment where they can grow, experiment, and thrive.
- Winning Hearts and Minds: You will lead the design part of pitches to secure new business in Switzerland, the DACH region and EMEA. You will represent DEPT® at chemistry meetings, facilitate client workshops and present bold concepts with confidence.
- Strategic Collaboration: You will work closely with the head of the design department and other leaders to further improve our capabilities and processes.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- A Proven Track Record: An impressive portfolio showcasing sophisticated experience design and a deep understanding of digital platforms, ideally gained within a fast-paced agency environment.
- Leadership skills: You know how to give constructive feedback and enjoy helping others grow. First experience in leading a team is a plus.
- Design System Nerd: You are an expert in building and maintaining scalable Design Systems that bridge the gap between aesthetics and functionality.
- Accessibility as a Mindset: For you, digital accessibility (WCAG) is not a hurdle, but part of your DNA, because you know how to balance aesthetics with usability.
- Collaborative Spirit: You enjoy working in cross-functional teams, speaking the “languages” of UX Designers, Copywriters, and Developers to bring together ideas to life.
- Modern Toolstack: Mastery of Figma is a must; experience with motion design and prototyping tools like Framer or Jitter is a massive plus.
- Industry Pulse: You’re not only curious about digital trends and AI, new technologies, and design trends—you’re also committed to incorporating relevant innovations into your work.
- Communication Skills: You are fluent in (Swiss) German and English and are able to effectively communicate complex design concepts to both executive-level clients and engineers.
- The “Plus” Factor: While not a hard requirement, experience in Brand Design is a great advantage, helping us create cohesive experiences from identity to interface.
