Buyer

The position focuses on the operational and strategic procurement of defined raw materials for ELANTAS Europe AG, as well as independent scheduling to ensure economical and timely material supply.

• Procurement of raw materials considering costs, quality, availability, and supply security including downstream tasks such as confirmation recording/control, invoice verification, transport organisation, and import customs clearance.
• Ensuring timely material availability through demand planning, inventory monitoring, and independent scheduling considering stock targets and production requirements.
• Sound understanding of raw material markets, price developments, and procurement risks. Ability to analyse market trends and derive appropriate procurement measures.
• Confident handling of key figures, demand forecasts, cost analyses, and reporting tools. Strong understanding of economic contexts and cost optimisation.
• Price, contract, and condition negotiations as well as building and further developing sustainable supplier relationships at national and international levels.
• Support and advice to internal stakeholders on purchasing-related topics.

• Merchant in wholesale and foreign trade with federal qualification
• Several years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management
• Fluent German and English skills
• Confident use of ERP systems (SAP) and MS Office (Excel)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical and strategic thinking
• Hands-on mentality with pragmatic problem-solving approach
• High personal responsibility, structured working method, and strong problem-solving competence
• High initiative and sense of responsibility
