Our client is an established, innovative Swiss SME with many years of market presence and specialisation in high-quality technical solutions for the food industry. The company stands for technical expertise, high service quality, and a strong customer focus.
To strengthen the service organisation, we are looking for an experienced and strong leadership personality as Service Manager (100%). In this responsible position, you will take on the strategic and operational management of the service department, further develop the team, and contribute decisively to customer satisfaction as well as the sustainable growth of the service business.
Tasks
- Overall responsibility for the service department with around 15 employees, including budget, sales, and cost responsibility
- Leadership, coordination, and further development of the technical service team
- Planning, control, and monitoring of service assignments as well as deployment scheduling
- Ensuring quality standards and compliance with occupational safety
- Support with demanding technical issues as well as handling escalation cases
- Optimisation and further development of service processes and implementation of improvement measures
- Maintenance and expansion of sustainable customer relationships and ensuring high customer satisfaction
- Close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders such as sales, purchasing, production, suppliers, and management
Profile
- Completed technical basic training, for example as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, electromechanical technician, or in a comparable technical environment
- Several years of professional experience in technical service or customer service
- Further training in leadership and/or business administration or corresponding leadership experience
- Entrepreneurial mindset as well as strong organisational and communication skills
- High customer orientation and service mentality
- Resilient, reliable, and assertive personality
- Very good IT user skills (MS Office, ERP systems; experience with Abacus is an advantage)
- Fluent German skills and good French skills in spoken and written form are desirable
- Driving licence category B
