Head of Parliamentary Affairs & Support

Responsibilities

• You will lead the Parliamentary Affairs & Support department both in terms of personnel and expertise.
• You will advise, support, coordinate and perform quality assurance tasks in the handling of parliamentary affairs and (political) motions of the Office for Urban Development.
• You will advise, support and perform quality assurance tasks in procurement (e.g. tender procedures and contract management) of the Office for Urban Development.
• You will lead interdisciplinary projects and actively participate in them.
• You will be responsible for infrastructural matters in the Office for Urban Development (e.g. space and material management).

Profile

• University degree, preferably in law, business administration or political science
• Sound knowledge of political processes and parliamentary procedures as well as public procurement law
• Experience in public administration
• Leadership experience, ideally with leadership training
• Experience in procurement, ideally with additional training
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present complex matters clearly and understandably, tailored to the audience
• Experience in project management and strong process understanding
• Structured and precise working style
• Interdisciplinary, networked and future-oriented thinking and acting
• Resilience and team spirit
• High motivation and willingness to advocate for the city’s interests in the interface between politics and administration
