The Integrative Offers department supports people with a refugee and migration background as well as social assistance recipients in (re)establishing themselves in the labour market; this is done through educational, coaching or qualification programmes in various sectors. This also includes our secondhand shops "la trouvaille".

SRK Bern operates three secondhand shops "la trouvaille" in Bern, Biel and Münsingen. The offer from "la trouvaille" consists almost exclusively of donated and used goods. From clothing to household items to large and small furniture, almost everything for daily use can be found.

Your tasks

• You competently advise our customers and conduct professional sales conversations.
• You ensure attractive product presentation and appealing design of sales areas and shop windows.
• You operate the cash register, handle complaints and ensure correct cash accounting.
• You coordinate the daily operations at the sales location and ensure smooth sales operations.
• You take responsibility for goods and inventory management as well as the acceptance and assessment of donated goods.
• You coordinate daily takings, perform administrative tasks and ensure the availability of consumables.
• You answer the phone, coordinate information and ensure reliable information flow.
• You ensure order and cleanliness at the sales location.
• You instruct participants in sales activities, promote their
• independence and provide constructive feedback.

Your profile

• You have completed training in retail or a comparable qualification as well as several years of professional experience in sales, ideally in textiles, household, furniture or secondhand.
• You enjoy supporting and promoting programme participants and know how to convey knowledge in a practical way.
• You communicate confidently in German and have good knowledge of French.
• You have a strong customer orientation, good manners and enjoy sales as well as secondhand items.
