Role:
As part of a planned succession due to retirement, we are looking for an experienced individual to lead export and freight forwarding. In this responsible role, you will lead the internal freight forwarding department and ensure professional international export and shipping handling. At the same time, you will contribute your expertise in foreign trade, further develop existing processes, and work closely with sales, project management, and other specialist departments. You can expect a long-term key position in an internationally active and technically oriented Swiss company.
Responsibilities:
You lead the internal freight forwarding team both personally and professionally and continuously develop your team
You are responsible for international export and shipping handling from transport quotation to on-time delivery
You manage and optimise export and freight forwarding processes regarding costs, quality, and punctuality
You ensure compliance with export control and compliance requirements together with the responsible departments
You are responsible for matters concerning the origin of goods, preferences, and corresponding certificates
You coordinate international transports and work closely with sales, project management, and external logistics partners
You lead internal projects in export and freight forwarding and drive the further development of existing processes
Qualifications:
This advertisement is explicitly aimed at individuals with several years of in-depth professional experience in export and international freight forwarding
Commercial basic training with further education in export or foreign trade, for example as a foreign trade specialist or export manager
Solid experience in team leadership
Extensive knowledge of export control and trade compliance is a great advantage
Very good German and English skills, additional languages are an advantage
Independent and entrepreneurial working style as well as strong assertiveness and negotiation skills
Communicative and socially competent personality with enjoyment in collaborating across various departments
