Medical Secretary in Outpatient Cardiology
The Outpatient Cardiology Service of the Heart-Vessels Department at CHUV is looking for a medical secretary with a workload between 60% and 80% to strengthen its team. The starting date is scheduled for 1st September 2026 or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Cardiology Service, led by Professor Olivier Muller, is a centre of excellence and innovation in cardiovascular fields. It cares for adult patients with cardiac pathologies and offers a wide range of investigations and treatments, from the simplest situations to the most complex cases.
Mission
- You ensure the reception of patients and their relatives, as well as visitors and collaborators in the Cardiology Service
- You manage and schedule appointment requests for the Cardiology Service, ensuring liaison between the various stakeholders
- You carry out the administrative management of patients in the Cardiology Service, in accordance with procedures and directives defined by the Patient Administrative Management Service (GAP)
- You ensure the administrative follow-up of the patient file, respecting data confidentiality and current directives
- You are responsible for typing consultation reports as well as insurance reports for the Cardiology Service
- You are responsible for archiving medical records.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification, complemented by a recognised medical secretary diploma
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar role
- You master common IT tools and knowledge of institutional software such as Soarian, Axya, and Ultragenda is an asset
- You have excellent writing skills and perfect command of French spelling
- You demonstrate a sense of responsibility, autonomy, and organisation, and know how to manage priorities
- You work with rigour and discretion
- You appreciate teamwork and possess excellent interpersonal and reception skills.
