What you will do here
- Professionally qualified, practice-oriented teaching in the Bachelor and Master programs as well as in the continuing education courses of the Department of Architecture, Wood and Construction in the field of building physics
- Acquiring and conducting R&D projects, research mandates and service contracts in the area of your own expertise within the scope of the specialist group Building Envelope, Building Physics and Fire Protection of the Institute for Timber Construction
- Showing presence in public within the scope of the subject area and representing the university
The title of Professor can be used provided the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met.
What you ideally bring with you
- Several years of practical experience as a building physicist in thermal, moisture and sound insulation in specialist planning and building damage analysis
- University degree, preferably in physics or engineering sciences
- Experience in applied research / doctorate advantageous
- Communication and teamwork skills, strong initiative
- Leadership experience
- Certificate in university didactics or willingness to obtain it
- Very good German and good English skills, good French skills are advantageous
