The International School Basel (ISB) is an English-language international day school for students from ages 3 to 18. ISB is home to approximately 1,200 students who enjoy modern purpose-built facilities on three campuses clustered a few kilometers south of Basel in the towns of Reinach and Aesch. ISB is an International Baccalaureate World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for younger students aged 3 to 11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students in the final two years of their school careers. The Position
The Senior School Counsellor is an important member of the Student Wellbeing Team. The Senior School
Counsellor Team works to ensure that efficient and effective systems are in place to support students’ social
and emotional, and developmental needs, with the aim of fostering student resilience and personal skills
development. Our School Counsellors work to promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs.
The ideal candidate for this position holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A master’s degree in Guidance
and Counselling or a related field is highly desirable.
