Media Spokesperson and Topic Manager (80–100 Percent)

The Swiss Insurance Association SVV represents around 70 private insurance companies and advocates for an innovative, future-oriented and sustainable insurance industry. The private insurance sector strengthens Switzerland's resilience and actively engages in topics such as retirement provision, cyber risks, natural hazards and artificial intelligence. With its approximately 50,000 employees and over 2,100 trainees, it offers diverse and attractive career opportunities.

We are looking for a team- and service-oriented personality from 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

You will shape the public positioning of the Swiss insurance industry at the interface of politics, business and media. You will develop positions and narratives on economic and insurance policy issues, represent the concerns of the SVV to the media and the public, thereby making a direct contribution to the political representation of interests of Swiss private insurers.

Your Tasks

• Topic leadership: Development of positions, narratives and communication measures on economic and insurance policy topics
• Media work: Responding to media enquiries, proactive topic positioning as well as monitoring and analysing national reporting
• Network maintenance: Building and maintaining dialogue with national media
• Organisation: Planning and conducting media interviews, media events and media training
• Newsroom: Regular assignments as duty editor
• Campaigns: Development of communication concepts and collaboration on voting campaigns

Your Profile

• University or university of applied sciences degree (Bachelor or Master), preferably in communication, political or economic sciences (or equivalent education and training)
• Several years of professional experience in corporate communications, journalism, an association or political environment
• Strong interest in insurance, business and Swiss politics
• Sound knowledge of the Swiss media landscape and the Swiss political system
• Experience in planning and conducting media events
• Excellent communication and written formulation skills in German
• Confident handling of digital editorial, publication and collaboration tools
• Good knowledge of French and English, knowledge of Italian an advantage
• Analytical thinking and structured working
